As they state on their website the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center is a national clearinghouse for information about health and safety, engineering, advocacy, education, enforcement, access, and mobility for pedestrians (including transit users) and bicyclists. The PBIC serves anyone interested in pedestrian and bicycle issues, including planners, engineers, private citizens, advocates, educators, police enforcement, and the health community.

  • Brain Injury Association of America: The BIAA is the leading national organization for information and advocacy for those who have suffered brain injuries. Their site notes: "Brain injury is not an event or an outcome. It is the start of a misdiagnosed, misunderstood, under-funded neurological disease. Individuals who sustain brain injuries must have timely access to expert trauma care, specialized rehabilitation, lifelong disease management and individualized services and supports in order to live healthy, independent and satisfying lives."
  • Brain Injury Association of Oregon:The BIAO is an informational clearinghouse for those diagnosing, treating and living with brain injuries or brain damage.

Defective Products

  • U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission: This federal agency focuses on product safety and is a very informative resource for defective product injury attorneys. The site explains its mission as follows: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. The CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or can injure children. The CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed significantly to the 30 percent decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years.
  • United States District Court for the District of Oregon: The United States District Court of for the District of Oregon is the federal court with jurisdiction in Oregon. Its website has useful links to local rules and timelines and helpful links to court news and court calendars.
